Killabee Performance Coilovers
|
Our brand new Killabee Coilovers, feature 40 way adjustable damper settings for rebound and compression. Our mono-tubes have an inner diameter of 50mm for extra stability during drifting and hard cornering. Each coilover offers ride height adjustment, which is separate from spring pre-load adjustment, so as not to effect spring travel. For cars with MacPherson type suspension, we include forged 6061 Aluminum camber plates (8mm), are super light weight, very tough and offer the driver increased feel and feedback through the steering wheel. Our pillow ball top mounts are forged using high carbon steel and give the car that solid planted feel, that inspires confidence. Our springs are cold bend manufactured, using SAE9254 Chrome Silicon Metal and exhibit less than 1% deformation after one million cycles. Custom spring rates are available upon request. Our Mono Tubes are made with STKM13C and display precise burnishing work. They feature separate oil and nitrogen gas for more consistent and stable operation and are much less prone to leaks. We use mirror polished pistons that have been manufactured using powder metallurgy techniques. We also use a low friction, heat resistant Teflon coated piston ring. The use of stretched oil bearings, which are made in Japan, provide precise steering control. Our coilovers use a rubber gasket, which is designed to insulate noise. Each Killabee coilover comes with a limited 1 year warranty. Get some sting in your tail!
Killabee coilovers have been developed over years of racing experience. Our factory overseas competes in the F.I.A. International Racing Competition. Since developing their own coilovers they have won the championship 4 times. 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003. You can be secure in knowing that your Killabee coilovers can handle the rigours of motorsport, whether it be drifting, circuit racing or fast road. Killabee coilovers have been crafted using only the very best of materials and the latest technology. We welcome anyone to compare the quality of the materials used and the craftsmanship of our components to any of the top European or Japanese brands. Attention to detail can be observed throughout every inch of the coilovers construction. I swapped out my big brand name items for these and the difference was incredible. The car actually started absorbing the bumps like it should do and yet it remained flat, composed and controllable at all times. Not like the Japanese brand I had in the car before, which skitted and hopped all over the place. They were so stiff that I took the bus instead. That’s not to say these are not stiff because they are but they absorb the ruts and bumps in the road better than any other coilover that I have tried. On the highest positive setting, the car is best left for the circuit but on the lowest – setting the car can be driven on the street with little fuss. The car is a pleasure to drive now and I have knocked my lap time down from a 1min 15sec to a 1min 11sec at Wakefield Park.
