STOP buying crap off eBay!

We talk to a lot of enthusiasts and the number one concern they seem to have is QUALITY. This really isn’t anything new and quality is always something on any consumers mind.

In recent times the automotive industry (like many others) has been flooded with extremely poor quality products from countries like China. Products such as clear tail lights and gauges for example, are extremely attractive due to PRICE. You can find a lot on stuff on eBay that’s pretty cheap and I am sure many of you at some point have been taken in – myself included!

What we forget to remember is that price is generally an indication of quality. It’s like the old saying says, “YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!”

There’s also a few things that get forgotten in the decision making process when the price seems too good to be true and that is buying something is not all about the product itself. There is a lot to consider such as pre/post sales support, warranty and of course whether the item will fulfil your need or fix your problem to your satisfaction (in terms of quality/reliability).

It is important to consider the whole picture when making decisions. eBay is a second hand market, regardless of what the seller says. What protection are you giving yourself? It is a risk and one which I have personally seen burn many bargain hunters.

We often receive enquiries and phone calls from enthusiasts who have purchased something cheap off eBay which has turned into a nightmare either through product fault or non-suitability. One in particular that comes up time and time again is tail lights. We get customers comparing our pricing with the pricing on eBay for what they think is the same or similar item.

Yes our pricing on clear tail lights is more expensive BUT you are paying for a far superior quality product that comes with a proper warranty! If you have issues such as leakages it gets resolved. You don’t get stuck with an ugly water/mist filled tail light assembly.

This is just one example, there are many more. The point I am trying to make is STOP BUYING CRAP OFF EBAY! You love your car, your passionate about your car so why would you buy an inferior quality product that’s only going to make your car and your experience worse.

That’s not to say it’s all crap but the point it to be careful! The whole point is when buying from us here at ModYourCar.com is that you can be assured we are selling you a quality item – because we wouldn’t recommend a product we don’t believe in ourselves!
